Foreseeing great potential in the applications of PCT technology in large-size displays, CMI has taken the lead in relevant R&D, successfully developing the 21.5-inch PCT display module, achieving a significant breakthrough for the industry. In addition to its multi-touch and pad-style design, the integration of touch panels into the display module will help customers save time assembling the system. In anticipation of the launch of Windows 8 in 2012, multi-touch technology enabling page turning, window resizing and image rotation at the touch of fingertips will be widely used in netbooks, notebooks and all-in-one desktop PCs. As a result, there will be an inevitable surge in demand for large-size PCT products supporting multi-touch functionality. Possessing technologies spanning multiple fields, including display panels, touch panels and system assembly, CMI has the advantage over other competitors in launching medium- and large-size integrated PCT products. In the future, if touch functionality is introduced into a multitude of displays, the technology and innovation to develop such products will allow CMI to strongly boost customers’ cost and time-to-market competitiveness. |
